"Yes," she nodded slowly as if speaking to someone newer to English. Her wry smile came afterward. "I don't really taste much though. Not without generous, generous amounts of hot sauce. Sadly they don't make ice cream in ghost pepper flavor."
At the register, Liv ordered an extra hot noodle bowl and had her purse out to pay for Dr. Banner's lunch before he could protest. It seemed only fair. Someone's going to take your tissue samples to examine you should buy them a meal first.
Once they sat down, Liv went about adding extra hot sauce to her already spicy bowl.
"I miss food. I miss the idea of being with someone without the risk of infecting them. The zombie dating pool was tiny in Seattle. It's nonexistent here as far as I can tell. Those are minor to the concerns that I might accidentally set off some kind of zombie apocalypse if I make a mistake."
