"I have feeling that you and I will never have that conversation, Bruce. You have no idea how happy you make me, and nothing will ever take that from me. Not if I can help it." She was not a woman that found happiness often. Her whole life had been full of tragedy, strength, opportunity. But not happiness. Selina only hoped her sister had found that some place and had managed to hold on to it better than she had. But it was here now and Selina wouldn't let it go without a fight.
Then she shifted some in her seat, "Life isn't fair. You and I both should know that first hand. But there are times in our lives, too, where making the effort to show someone else what matters exceeds a statue of fairness." She could have been wrong. Maybe she was. But it didn't matter now.
With a sigh, Selina finally offered Bruce a smile. "Can we move on from this subject? I'd rather talk about something that makes you smile and that we can enjoy discussing together."
