Glee burst over her when he took her hand and agreed. "Come on!" she exclaimed, all too aware that they were fast coming upon the sunset. Out the door she dashed, grinning over her shoulder as she did, and then picked up her skirt in one hand and immediately turned toward the deepening woods.
It was a run, as if she were chasing the sun itself, and she laughed through the mad dash into the trees. The shadows were already lengthening, so perhaps it wasn't such an unreasonable thing to run. Across the brook, using large stones she'd struggled to move to make a stepping bridge, and then through a meadow, and finally to a cliff side that terminated in a long drop - and overlooked a deep valley.
"Here!" she exclaimed, and immediately dropped to the ground, throwing her legs over the side of the cliff and dangling them happily. Heights clearly didn't bother her at all. The valley itself looked like the inspiration she'd used for the mural she'd finally finished at his gym. And the sunset.... The sunset promised to be glorious.
