When Eric kissed him, Macklyn did not hesitate to accept it or kiss back. His own arms wrapped around his mate and pulled him close. All those feelings of love and acceptance flooding him. Macklyn returned them with his own love, and thankfulness. He kissed Eric's lips, his cheeks, his forehead, and his lips again.
"Oh, god, Eric, I thought I'd lost you." Macklyn kissed him again. "I couldn't bare it if I had." Another kiss.
He couldn't wipe the smile from his face, and didn't want to part from the other hybrid at all. He was so grateful that Eric had found it in himself to come home. Macklyn knew this probably wasn't the end of things, the feelings of confusion were still in his mate, but it was definitely a good step down the path toward evening out again.
Finally, he stopped kissing Eric and just held him for a long time while he spoke. "I found the little bugger still sitting in the dishes box, as if he was a little fluffy white saucer. He didn't seem upset in the least, just wanted attention."
