Fifth element, supreme being. The words rolled around in Aidan's head. He'd never had the blood of the divine before, and he was extremely eager to try it. He didn't think, even if she hadn't been compelled, that this one would have any fear of him. And it wasn't that she was too stupid to know that she should be afraid, but that she didn't have any reason to be.
A smile cracked his face in two at her last statement. Aidan laughed. Protect him? He was quite sure she had not been sent to Earth to protect him, or anybody else of his ilk. She had been sent to Earth to protect other beings from him and his kind.
"That's rich." Bishop piped in, a smile plastered his own face. "She really has no idea what's going on around her. See, Aidan? This is why I've always encouraged you to drink life. You're so much better at being you when you're taking care of yourself. Look at this. You're laughing right now, and it hasn't broken your hold on her."
It was true, he supposed, but he wasn't going to think too much about it. His gaze, his thoughts, they were all on the Fifth Element.
"Lovely." Aidan told her. He reached up to her, running a bloodied thumb along her cheek in an act that would normally be reserved for a loved one, then twined his fingers gently into her bright hair. "Supreme being. Do you want to join in my games?"
For some reason he wanted her to give herself willingly over, he'd had so much taking, so much easy death, this seemed like fun at the moment. Not that he was going to tell her the truth of his activities.
