The too-large black bird had alerted him that the time to meet had come. Leeloo was again out seizing the day, and Eric had remained behind though his heart went with her. A few caws later and Eric was out of the apartments and up on the roof of the apartment. It took longer than he would have liked but he navigated his way over the roof tops.
Finally he climbed over the edge of the destination, pulled himself up and stood. The pair were waiting already. That was fine with him.
His Bran settled on the edge of a chimney stack directly behind him. The hybrid bird perched just next to the phantom bird. Together they were indistinguishable to those that didn't know the differences.
The phantom offered the other pair a nod of greeting and waited to see what they called this meeting for.
