It was true that she hadn't exactly done lots of harm to the Xmen or anybody at the school. But she had worked with Sinister and that was enough for most. He had done so much to help her, though, it felt worse thinking of betraying him. She had refused to fight him when the time had come, because of the gift that he'd given her. And she'd gone back to him after being rescued, because of the gift that he'd given her. Nobody would ever be able to claim the same thing, that they'd been able to help staunch the most violent part of her power. Nobody had been able to, not even Xavier.
Melody's arms crossed over her stomach in reflex. A motion that hearkened back to when she'd been alone, homeless, afraid, and literally insane. Trying to keep herself together.
"I can't always control it." She admitted. It was easier to admit that to Logan than to Pam. The vampires were enchanted by her, but also afraid of her. Wary of what her power could do. She knew that they would not like hearing that she couldn't control it. "Sometimes I don't want to."
The street was perhaps not the best place for the conversation she'd started, but that's where it was happening.
