She wondered how much effort really had to go in to putting together a gym, but she decided to leave it alone. There were parts of her life that she wouldn't share, either. Not right now.
"Oh, I have some friends, it's okay." She smiled a bit. She wouldn't tell him how her friends unintentionally fed her addiction. Nor would she mention that her friends were all rather dangerous. "But I appreciate the thought."
Mel dropped her hand from the window and looked at him. Maybe he did understand in some ways. Though she didn't particularly want to chase down the rabbits in a hunt, she wanted to nudge them over the line into death so she could feed off of them.
"Logan, I have to ask... so few of the Xmen are okay with ... my ability. Even Nate found it odd and unpleasant." Nate, the love of her life, she had lost him because of her power and her addiction. He'd refused to help her when she needed it, turned her away... "How is it that you don't mind it? How is it that you can push my trespasses against the Xmen under the carpet so easily?"
