Melody looked at the man beside her and then in the reflection of the glass. She had worked with him many times. She had also betrayed him at least twice. The living vampire had no idea what part of her he knew, or if he even cared about what she'd done.
"Hello, Wolverine." Not having ever socialized with him, Melody wasn't sure if she should call him by his real name. Though he'd clearly been the one to speak hers, she felt like she might be on thin ice with the man. She knew his temper and his abilities. She might be able to heal whatever he dished out, unless he just saw fit to remove her head. Mel still had no idea if she could heal from that.
"I've been okay." She nodded. "There was a very strange dying planet, and then I was here. I like it better here."
In some ways, anyway. The lack of death around her, the lack of people dying, that wasn't to her liking. But it was better, maybe, because she didn't have that particular drug to fight against so much. Except with the vampires. Oh, the lovely vampires.
