This was better. Already, she could feel him relaxing, and that was what she'd hoped bringing him up here to this sanctuary would do. Leeloo had precious little hope that he'd actually fall asleep up here, but the thought that they could lie down together under starlight was far more delightful than she wanted to admit. She stayed still under his touch for a long moment, then gently tugged him toward the mess of blankets she'd left.
Down she went, fluffing pillows and tugging down a comforter to ward off the slight night-time coolness. Once she toed off her shoes and set them aside, she dived right in and patted the spot right beside her. "Did you know that stars all have names?" she asked him. Not the scientific names she'd read in books, but names, celestial syllables that meant that particular star, names like people had names.
