"Curiosity." The crone moved through the room and soon took a lean against the tub, the book still in her arms. "I brought something for you to read, but I probably should not leave it in this room." It didn't matter that she could probably put a protection spell on the book to keep it from ruining in the steam. She stepped away, and set the book down on a counter before returning to the tub.
"What do you want here, Eric?" She didn't call him her leige; there was only one man she might bow to, and while this one was practically that man, their different experiences had created two different beings. She could feel it being this close. Her fingers played over the surface of the water, and she looked into it without concern of violating the man's privacy. Eric of any reality was proud, and highly unlikely to hide who he was in and out of clothes.
"While I do not believe either of you would wish the other harm, I do not wish to see a power struggle when you or he decides that your kingdom should be greater, that another Eric is too much. You are alphas, and you will eventually feel closed in." She moved closer toward his head and settled on the edge of the tub, balancing easily there.
"Perhaps that is the coming storm I feel, the two of you fighting for dominance. It is unnatural for you two exist in the same time and space." Her wet fingers played a bit with his hair. "There are more than you and your eldest Progeny in the City. I do not believe even the City is equipped for such demands on reality; it is only recently back to itself. I come to you to discuss it because I am, as I said, curious. I wish to know who you are."
Her fingers trailed along his jaw before her hands rested in her lap. What sort of being was this Eric Northman once king of New Troy. She had been paying attention after all.
