When he sat, Ariel found that to be good enough. It was his way, and she would not say against it. He would do as he did and she would be near like she promised to be. And the nod of confirmation that he was alright was enough for her.
"Well, good night then," she breathed, looking up at him for a moment. She then moved to pull the comforter back, and slipped beneath it.
Ariel rested down against the clean sheets, soft pillows and basked in the comforting warmth. A soft sigh and she closed her eyes, feeling safe enough to fall asleep.
