Ariel shifted to set the cup of tea down, allowing it a few moments to let it cool. Her hair was matted some with dirt, she needed a bath but she craved the sea. The waves called to her and she wished desperately for the solace of the water. The sky. The sunset. And she wanted to share it with James, but she wasn't sure they were ready to leave.
The blanket left her bare shoulders and her hands moved into the long, want red strands. She pushed it from her face and eyes, though the strands fell back into place despite the effort. A green ribbon she had taken from her apartment went into the hair, confining the tangle into a side swept ponytail style.
Her white maxi was coated in dirt from the Asylum, and it was that which needed to be dealt with next. She pushed out of the garb, unwilling to stay in it any longer. James had seen her like this before, in but a simple attire of matching under garments. And then she was up.
Her dress found the floor in a puddle and from her bag of things Ariel pulled a clean, purple b-neck tee and a pair of denim shorts. Into both, she felt better. Cleaner.
