"Okay," she repeated, and her face went peaceful and satisfied. She closed her eyes for a few seconds, then took a breath and pulled herself up from the bed. "I'm going to get ready to sleep," she said, and wandered off to the newly decorated bathroom.
She was back again a few minutes later, dressed in a long copper-colored t-shirt that hit just above her knees. Her feet and legs were bare, and her teeth and face were freshly scrubbed. The smile was the most notable thing, however. She kept hold of a quiet, yet excited smile, and didn't let it go even after she installed herself against Eric. He was cooler than she expected, but Leeloo didn't mind at all. She set her head against his chest, dropped an arm over his waist, and shut her eyes.
