Those last few sentences glistened in the air between them, and she took a breath to try to capture them deeper inside her. They glowed in her chest. Suddenly, this somewhat confusing chore had turned into something far more joyous. They were making a place together. This is what she wanted, and it showed in the smile she tipped up at him.
In the end, the bathroom turned out to be celestial, with deep navies and accents that suggested starlight and supernovas. The bedroom was a darker room, but still pulsing with life. The reds throughout made it a brighter place, though the furniture was mostly all black.
It'd taken longer than Leeloo had imagined to set everything into place. By the time it was done, she was exhausted and sore in places she hadn't expected. How odd, that she could work all day under a prehistoric sun, but still be tired from the easy work of installing a wall hanging - with help!
