It hadn't even been a proper kiss, but she felt it in places she would never tell him - or anyone. Holding her breath so he wouldn't hear it catch, she just nodded. And then, because she knew better, knew he couldn't see that, she squeezed his hand tightly. She didn't want to leave this moment. She wanted to stay right here.
But at the same time, there was something else after it, and she had suspicions that it would be even better than this. She was eager and wanting all at the same time. And she didn't know how to tell him this. Oh, she was so, so bad at this sort of thing. Did he even know how much?
If they stayed here much longer, they'd never get to the lobster, and she knew better than to let that happen. He'd put so much effort into it.
