Perhaps it seemed timeless to her, but a 70-year gap made some of the differences in the city all too apparent to Steve. Still, he nodded, giving her a polite smile.
The invitation to call upon her warmed him a bit. Even if he never actually managed to pick up a phone and act on it, there was something nice about the idea of having a friend. Even one... that was decidedly odd as she was. The way she shrugged off 'screaming and stuff' made his grin falter a bit, but he stuck with it. "Thanks, Harleen. I might take you up on that. And, uh..." He gestured vaguely to the apartment. "You already know where to find me. If you... need anything."
This was getting to be the longest non-working conversation he'd ever had with a female. Awkwardness was abounding.
