Her shoulders shrugged at the comment, "Brooklyn is Brooklyn, no matter what time ya lived there. It don't change much, trust me. Every time I go back to visit my Mom I always know all the places to go eat. All of them are still there. It's like the place is timeless!" She laughed softly, "I wish more things could feel that way. Yanno? If we could stay timeless and beautiful foreva..." Harley sighed and offered Steve a dreamy look.
"Even if ya just need ta see a friendly face, you call me any time. No strings attached. You're handsome, you're gonna be swamped in girls and I ain't got the time to fight 'em off for ya when I'm workin. But if ya let me take ya out some time then I can protect ya betta." It was all just teasing, but she was sincere too. And she knew how shy he was about things. He'd proved it already during their conversation.
"As safe as I can be. I stay in an apartment there so I can be on call if I need to. Sometimes it gets a little weird, the screamin and stuff, but I got ear plugs. And my teddy." Then she nodded, "Yeah yeah, I know. You're like Mr. Perfect. Not bad for a kid from Brooklyn."
