The temperature seemed to continue to plummet and Logan stood there almost dumbly as the people around him scurried to warmer shelter. In an instant it seemed like it went from a brisk autumn day and crashed hard into a subarctic winter. Not that Logan minded in the least. But it was strange.
For an instant his heart began to race. There was only one person Logan knew of and trusted with manipulation of the elements. Storm.
Logan found his footing and made his way over the icy sidewalks easily despite his size, rushing to find the source. He didn't catch the mutant's familiar scent in the wind, it was something else. Female, but not familiar to him. Different but not. His hands slipped from his pockets and he broke into a dead run.
It was only a few moments later that Logan found himself careening to a halt, spotting a young woman with golden hair and a sparkling blue dress. She was the source of the abrupt change in climate and Logan approached her slowly. He knew the repercussions in startling someone with power, and he didn't want to hurt her.
"Hey you," he called softly, each step toward her he took with caution, holding his hands at his sides patiently. He had mentored young women a lot during his lifetime, they could be sensitive. He needed to be careful, not for himself, but for the rest of the City. For Laura. "You alright?"
