The bird nodded his head and then ignored the women in favor of a shiny bauble in a nearby tree.
"You do, and you do not." Maleficent guessed. Evey might be rested, but she did not feel better. Not psychologically. There was still much on her mind, and the witch wondered what it was. Still the people that no longer needed protection? Or something else entirely?
"I will stay for now." She looked where Evey looked. "I have no desire yet to see the city beyond the bridge. Diaval insists that we should explore, but I am wary. If in a few more days this island remains where it is, then perhaps I will venture out."
The fairy turned back to the girl who had slept, "What about you, Evey Hammond? Will you find a new purpose, or will you languish?"
