"We will." Macklyn said, taking the offered hand. "First, though, I'd like to know what you've been up to."
He pulled a key from his pocket and led Eric to the door. He'd been overly confident, maybe, that Eric would like the place, and had already acquired the key for it. If his made hadn't liked it, he supposed he'd have to glamour the poor Realtor into reversing all the paperwork, or forgetting about it entirely.
Macklyn let Eric go inside first, as the other hybrid hadn't seen anything yet. The sad recliner sat in the middle of the living room. Straight ahead was a door to the kitchen, to the right was a small recess of a hallway going into the bathroom, flanked by the two bedrooms. On either side of the bathroom door were closets. The heavy, old kitchen appliances all ran off of gas, and there was a pantry within, as well as a very cute cupboard that held an ironing board within it. All you had to do was open, the board was attached to the wall and just needed the anchor bar secured, and then it could all be folded away again when done. It was a very simple layout, not at all modern.
The floors were all beautifully polished wood, there was crown molding in every room. The doors all matched the flooring in color and richness, and were heavy. Solid.
