Selina nestled into the curve of Bruce's arm as if she had belonged there since the beginning. She didn't mind if anyone noticed, if anyone saw them together like this there on the beach by the fire. This was what she wanted and she was going to have it come what may.
At his answer Selina smiled warmly, knowingly. Her head dipped for a moment, eyes finding the sand beneath them before she allowed her chin to lift and for her eyes to find his own.
Despite the lack of symbolism, Bruce was still very much the legacy. The man behind the mask was able to move freely, discreetly in the world but the mask and the cape would always be hanging there in the closet, waiting to be taken up again. It was the same way with her, she couldn't give it up as much as she wanted to. And if one of them was giving up what they meant to Gotham, then it should be him. He deserved the change to live without the burden of darkness. But she would have to carry it for both of them.
Selina's mouth found his ear and she purred softly into it, "Of course, Bruce. I would stay with you every night if you asked." She would because she wanted to. Not because she had to and she knew he would never make her.
