He'd showered, changed into clothes that were obviously his, and headed out again. The night had been spent exploring, he didn't return to his bed until almost dawn. The City was weird, but much like he'd remembered it. Aidan had taken mental notes about what he wanted to see when it was open.
Today he was going to do some more searching. Aidan set out from his very well appointed apartment with one person in mind. One face swimming through his thoughts. She had to be here. She had to be. And he was going to find her.
The morning went by slowly. Agonizingly. He saw no faces at all that he knew. While he sought out Evey, he was also looking for Dean. For Eric. For Pam. John. Melody. Fred. Sam. Anybody. Somebody familiar. None of them were around. He couldn't be the only one brought here from the other place, could he? Then how would it explain Evey being known by Giselle?
He stopped mid-afternoon to get some coffee. It wouldn't actually do anything, but the fact that he could just grab a latte was novel. As he was walking out of the coffee shop, it came to him. The smell of her in the air. His head whipped around, seeking her out, hoping that it wasn't just some other random person who happened to smell the same. No, it wasn't that, because there was Evey's voice, too.
Smiling, Aidan stood behind her, taking her in for a moment. Just being, glad to have finally found her. Thinking that the City had probably guided him to her just like it had to his apartment.
"I never thought you'd be the sort to talk to your tea." He said, finally.
