She managed to get him laughing a little at the lamps. "I've got some ability with telepathy," he explained. "My mental shields worked at quieting them for me, so I put up a few to help you." And had slowly taken them down as she had reasserted control over herself. "I've had that experience before, with too many things yelling in my head." He wrinkled his nose. "Definitely overwhelming. I'm glad I could do something to help."
He straightened a bit, making sure she was steady before getting to his feet, offering her a hand to help her up as well. "It's good to know what I might expect.
