"That's the thing about tea. It's good either way, hot or cold. I suppose you could say the same for coffee, though it's not quite as delightful." Edward shrugged, offering Ted a bored look.
Again, the criminal waved over the large black man. "Marcus, clean up this mess. I'm ready to go home."
Marcus sighed, offered Ted another apologetic look and collected the cup from its spot on the table. Once all of it was emptied and gathered, Marcus helped Eddie to his feet.
Edward gathered his own things, his hat, coat and cane, and he nodded a farewell at Ted. "Pleasure to meet you today, Ted. But I have to get home. I have things to do. Good bye."
And with that Edward left the shop. He climbed into the large green car waiting at the sidewalk and rode away with his old, stolen tea set.
