With another swirl the pupil relaxed from its five-pointed shape, smoothing out in efforts to claim something circular. The brightness lingered, however. Mag recorded what this woman, Zoe, was telling her. She wanted to remember all of the information in case she ran into someone like her, new and unaware. That way she could pass on the message.
"The streets move..." Mag repeated in a breath. There had to be something more to all of this. At least that's what it felt like. She had never heard of a world before that had moving streets. Every world had its baddies, it's scary people and places. She was used to that, so the information didn't come as much of a shock to her. But she was grateful to have it nonetheless.
"Before coming here, the world I was in before was broken. Constantly we were facing challenges that were life threatening. Danger is something I'm used to being up against." She wasn't much for offense, but she could fight a bit if needed. Hopefully she wouldn't have to, though. "I haven't been here very long, I'm afraid. Moments enough to find my way to a strange collection of apartments, to bathe and change...and then to end up here. Not a great length of time."
Mag wished she could be more helpful to Zoe, to some how even the score. But she had nothing to offer.
