At Peter's words, Eric released the man and took a step back. Hadn't Peter just said she had died? And now she was alive? Peter would know. Peter had this connection with Leeloo that Eric never would. It was almost the same sort of connection that Eric had with Bran.
The other bird, the one that looked like his bird but wasn't, flew away as quickly as it had come.
Eric watched it fly away, and put it on reserve to check into later. Leeloo was far more precious to both of them to be concerned about anything else presently.
His bird flew and settled on Leeloo's windowsill. The corvid offered the dark haired beauty a friendly caw, and ruffled its feathers.
Honestly Eric didn't know what to say to Peter, but actually he did know. He lifted a hand and rubbed over his eyes with his fingers, "Go to her. I'm sure she will be happy to see that you're alive and well."
