Maleficent spoke no other words as she worked the spell, her hands raising and a green light coming off of them. The glow raised into the air and hovered before settling over Evey and then into her. The fairy queen decided to give Evey a whole week. She knew she'd told the girl a couple of days, but it felt like she needed more. If there was anger after, she would deal with it then. For now, it seemed like the right decision.
The sleep she granted was, as promised, going to be sound. Dreamless. Restful. It would be satisfying, Evey would wake with no groggy cloud over her senses.
Once done, Maleficent stepped out of the room and began to seal that as well. She fashioned a key out of the air, it became a solid thing of green, very much like jade. The fairy left it just inside the door as she closed it. She made it so that only Evey could use the key and open the room, and that nothing could get in at all. She would be safe.
Then Maleficent left. She needed to consider her own future.
