Peter settled in to the seat and when Castiel returned, Peter offered the man his attention again. The water looked great! It was nice to have filtered, regular tap water. Not that the river water wasn't good, it was the process that it entailed which made tap water seem like a stream directly from Heaven itself.
And then came the words.
Peter smiled and shrugged, "It's no big deal." It wasn't his money, he had no idea where it came from only that it was in his pocket when he needed it. No more, no less. The exact amount.
"A man should never be forced to go without a slice of pizza."
And as if on cue the young woman from the counter slipped over to their table. She set the pizza tray on a holder next to the table, and set a plate, knife and fork down for each of them. When she was gone, Peter motioned to the pizza and kept his eyes on Cas, "You get first pick."
