He asked her where she was from. She tried to string together the right English to answer this as she chewed, and then when he snorted, she nearly laughed the carrot out of her mouth. Leeloo thought that he should snort more often, because it was funny.
After swallowing the dangerous bits of carrot, she pulled down mismatched plastic glasses and poured herself and her guest each a glass of water. When she crossed over to him, glass extended, she tried her best with her answer:
