Leeloo nodded in agreement and split off to the left. She kept her eyes and ears open, but she could discern no other changes. And, to her disappointment, she saw no one else either. There were a few lower-story windows that were lighted, but despite her attempts, she couldn't see past the blinds, shades, or shutters. Leeloo wasn't certain what 'normal' would look like; she'd never seen it. Could this place be 'normal'?
No, it was nothing like normal. The streets had moved on their own accord. She'd been pulled from the caravan leaving die Festung, directly into her Mondoshawan transport ship, and now it seemed she was being invited to stay here. It was many things, this place, but it was not normal.
Rounding a low-slung hedge, she encountered the now-familiar trench coat.
