In the TARDIS, Evey had grimly shut her mind off from Peter... and the rest of what was going on inside their headspace. She didn't have time for it; and she was refusing to listen to any of it. Simply put, it was confusing, the earthquake outside was bad enough, and she had things to do. Though she worried for the others outside, her primary concern was to get to Peter. She knew he was in the TARDIS, and she knew he was in his room with Leeloo, and she normally wouldn't ever have dreamed of interrupting, but today was different.
When she opened the door - surprised it hadn't opened on its own for her as usual - she found the orange-haired woman sitting on the edge of the bed, looking bewildered. "He disappeared," she said. "Just... disappeared."
Normally, this wouldn't have surprised Evey. Peter could teleport, and surely Leeloo knew that too. But the point, here, was that he teleported and left Leeloo behind. Whatever he'd gone to do, it must have been important.
"It's all right," she assured Leeloo mechanically, taking over the responsibility of ensuring her best friend's heart was at ease. "Wherever he is, it wasn't because he wanted to leave you."
Carefully, she eased her mental walls to check on Peter.
