"Yup," she said, popping the 'p' softly, trying to bring some casual levity to the situation. It didn't really work quite the way she wanted, and she shifted a little, trying not to look too closely at him. She'd always had a sense of how well-built he was; it was difficult not to notice, when her attention had to focus on the way he moved his body during their training. But this... this was entirely different. She could feel her heart racing, and her mouth was dry. She swallowed, and her throat clicked loudly.
"I'll just..." She took a step backwards. "I'll um." What? She'd what? "Make us something to eat while you're getting cleaned up."
Yeah, good idea Rose, capital in fact. She backed up a little more, then headed down the hall quickly.
What just happened? She ran her hand through her hair. Universe hopping wasn't enough, apparently. Now she had to go and.... Rose shook her head.
Whatever was going on, she needed to keep her head on straight. Tea, then. She went to make them tea and sandwiches.
