Upon seeing Wash's ex-wife, Jo was struck again with the realization that she had no idea how to introduce herself. 'Hi, I'm sort of living with and raising a kid with your ex-husband... in a totally platonic way' didn't exactly do anyone any favors. She also found it hard to see the two together. Zoe had a regal, warrior woman air about here whereas Wash seemed like he was very rarely serious. Though she supposed that the two probably worked well as a sort of yin and yang to each other.
She held out her hand in greeting.
"Thanks for meeting me on, uh, no notice. I'm Jo Harvelle. I've come to talk to you about... about Wash," she said in a voice that was only loud enough for Zoe to hear. Just in case anyone else was within earshot.
She figured that it was best to be up front about the reason, even if it might get her tossed out on her ass. And from the look of Zoe, the woman could probably do her fair share of physically removing people from places.
