Logan didn't beat around the bush. There was no point in him being anything but upfront about anything with anyone. Lying and toeing around stuff didn't make anything any easier and so he had adopted the straightforward method. Most people appreciated that more. Women especially.
All of the things he said to her were true fact in his opinion, her bravery as well as the fact that she was easy to look at. He might have been a bit of a girl magnet, and God only knew how or why, but he didn't see the harm in appreciating what was there already.
He could sense something else about Jo, an underlying, minute iota of unease. Had he known previously about her relationship before, Logan would've been able to sympathize. He had lost three wives, between death and divorce, and he knew how it could be feeling that betrayal.
But her comment about not minding the company said more than what the scent did. Logan couldn't help but chuckle and shrug, then nod, "That's good ta know then."
"So, Jo, tell me more about ya? You always gotta mouth as bad as what you were sayin' back in that house?" He had heard her swearing before he had come up and he definitely didn't mind. He was sure he had said worse than that himself over the course of his lifetime.
