"Uh," he replied with a frown. He understood her excitement but the pain in his limbs seemed to speak a little louder and in a language he definitely understood.
"Maybe not today," he said finally bringing his arm off from around her shoulders. He still sat close, shoulders touching.
"Not that I don't want to dive headfirst into an incredibly complicated rebuild of a decimated shuttle..." he continued, genuinely enticed by the challenge. "But I'm not quite up to 100% yet. I...could show you where it is, though. With any luck The City will shift the park a little closer."
A beat.
"I said...THE CITY WILL SHIFT THE PARK A LITTLE CLOSER. CAUSE I'M ON CRUTCHES!" he said, looking around. "I think it's still a little tetchy that I tried to end my life. So sensitive for a floating piece of sentient land."
