Sam wasn't thinking weres, though that was a possibility, he supposed. He hadn't been there for that particular adventure in the City, but he'd heard enough to know that it could happen. He frowned at the thought of the frog who might be Fred ending up on out on the streets alone. They were going to have to work fast to figure out what was going on here.
"It might not be a were situation. I've got one other theory, but I need to do some more research first."
Meaning that he needed to call Jo, but he really didn't want to tell Dean that until he had the chance to talk to the female hunter.
"In the meantime, we should see if we can track her-it," he corrected himself, because the frog might not be Fred at all. "I'm guessing that Dinah would let us use the computers in the Clocktower. Between those and what we have at the bunker, we might be able to get a lock on the frog."
Yes, he was proposing that they go their separate ways. He just hoped that it was subtle enough that Dean didn't realize that he wanted to hide something until he figured out more of what might be going on. It didn't hurt that this was probably what he would have suggested anyway. Each computer system had their own capabilities and there was no telling which was going to work best with the changing City. Divide and conquer really was the best strategy here. Besides, Sam was pretty sure that Dinah would want to know about what was going on with Fred too.
