Sam wouldn't have said that dealing with Fred on his own was so much torture as he didn't want to cause any more damage with her than he already had. It pained him, when he thought about it too much. After all, he could see where she had the potential to be a very good friend. Where she'd certainly been that to the Sam that came before him.
He followed Dean to the elevator for Fred's apartment. There was an eyebrow raise at the tidbit of information.
"Huh. Wouldn't have pegged that for her type," he said, with a little hint of surprise in his features. It wasn't that he'd spent all that long thinking about Fred's type but if he had... well, he wouldn't have pictured her wanting to deal with a slimy politician type.
"So what happened to him? The mayor, I mean? Did he just get voted out, or..."
Sam hadn't really taken note of the political structure one way or another, but he didn't think that he'd heard anything about a current mayor.
