Leto sighed inwardly, and glanced toward the television before stepping away from Oswin. "I think it's the Christmas Wish I made," he said, moving toward the tree. He knelt down beside the body and pulled away the bow, finding a note tucked under it. The note was addressed to him.
He tucked the note under his chin and then picked up the body. It was certainly heavy, as he would expect a lifeless body to be. But this was not a dead body. The skin was bright, and the flesh was warm. It was unsettling.
When he was at the couch, he carefully set the body down and arranged the head and limbs to something that seemed more comfortable. Then he switched on the lights in his apartment so he could better see.
"I don't think it's dead... or alive," he said at last, blinking in the new brightness before his eyes adjusted. When they had, he turned the note over and read it.
Dalek.
"Oswin," he asked carefully. "Do you know what a dalek is?"
