Bruce had lost his seat. Typical. In the forage for a spoon with which to eat his frozen treat the seat he had claimed before had been taken by another. Ah well.
Bruce stood there amidst the rushing crowd, exhausted instantly even by watching them, eating his treat. The ice cream itself as plain, vanilla with a touch of rainbow sprinkles here and there. Nothing too fancy. Perhaps that ice cream treat defined his life. Perhaps it was just ice cream.
He had gotten a few bites in when he heard that familiar robotic twang, the metallic of the voice indicating that you had a droid instead of an actual human. Which caused the scientist to look up and sure enough there was his wife, with what looked like an attempted human Timmy in tow.
The scientist approached the pair, the red-head and their robotic kid, almost losing the ice cream in the process though he managed to hold on to it. "It's pandemonium in here, I can't believe its gotten this bad," he said to his wife, before offering her a warm smile, "Hi baby." He was glad to see her. But wondered why Timmy was there. He was an AI. Maybe Bruce just overestimated how human Timmy really was.
"You look warm," Bruce nodded, motioning to the layers of bundling his wife was currently seeming to drown in.
