Wash had a point, even if she really wanted to put off the conversation with Dean and just hope that she never needed to have it. She really didn't want to have to shoot him in the kneecap or something just to make sure he realized that she'd do worse than that if he tried to hurt Maxine.
She sighed because Wash seemed to be as lost as she was.
"Then we'll just have to think on it. So this feels just a little bit like the blind leading the blind. Is that not in any way comforting to you either?"
She managed a faint smile. Their lack of experience in this area would almost be amusing, if it didn't come with potentially dire consequences.
"We'll figure it out," she said, her voice growing a little bit more certain and taking on a confidence that she wasn't quite sure she was feeling yet, but needed to project for both their sakes.
