"Occupied with nice things, I hope," she chirped. "I've got a new job! I don't know if you knew. I'm working at Fixit now. Not fixing things, I'm terrible at that, but keeping things in order, that kind of thing. And bonus, I don't come home smelling like coffee at the end of the day. Not that it's a bad smell, but you get sick of it after a while."
Megan's wide grin softened. It was still there, but more introspective now. "One of my teachers from back home," she said. "He's a little scary, but he's nice underneath that."
