"Sort of." She shrugged. "Dr. McCoy was here some time back, but he was here from way before we'd met. I guess this place grabs people from other times as well as other places," she said, giving voice to his thought. "And it throws them back sometimes, too." She sounded much less happy when she said that.
She brightened up almost immediately, though. "You want a job? I can give you a job! At least a temporary one. Right now it's only me working the shop, and I can't fix anything for the life of me. You're always puttering about on that bike of yours, aren't you? I bet you'd be great." She grinned a satisfied little smile. "Also, it'd be another mutant working the place. Annie's a mutant too. She talks to electric things."
