Bruce nodded at Dinah. He knew there was nothing any of them could do for Effie at this point and he wouldn't hold it against the other hero. Dinah was helping the best way that she knew how and that was by lending her comfort and support. Bruce would've done the same had the roles been reversed. And a deep part of him wished that this never happened to anyone else, hero or villain.
He shook his head at her, "I haven't heard anything but its possible I could've missed it. I haven't really been keeping up with what's going on. It's too hard to watch it on the news." He hoped Dinah understood and he knew she would. All she had to do was pick up a City newspaper. The headlines always featured something about the red-head.
"If I talk to her before you do I'll let her know that you'll be there. It'll mean a lot to her, I think. I know part of her looks up to you. I know it might not seem like it, but she's got a good heart when there isn't any temptation." Bruce wished Edward was gone out of Effie's life for good, but that wasn't his decision to make.
