Dinah wasn't entirely sure why she'd asked the question herself. Though some of the tension left her body at the answer. She curled into him, only a little worried over how well he'd be able to drive with her right there.
"Good. Then you'll be okay if something happens and we all end up back home." She frowned. "Though if Fred and Jesse are right, we won't remember our time here at all."
As much as the idea of losing Dean would have hurt, the idea that they'd both forget each other if and when they went home caused her chest to ache. But maybe it would be easier on him that way. She just wanted to know that he'd be okay if things went very badly with the issues with the City.
She sighed and shook her head.
"There's no use mulling over the what-ifs I suppose. We're in a good place right now and that's what matters. And yes, I do miss back home sometimes, but I wouldn't trade my time here for anything."
There were people that she wanted to see again but she'd grown used to losing people. In her line of work, she had to. And she had people here that she cared about more than anything. She had a life here and while that didn't take the place of the things and people she missed back home, it was its own thing and she enjoyed her life here.
"We should do something tonight," she said, wanting to change the subject entirely. "Or just stay in with a movie or two."
Her hand came to rest on his thigh with a gentle squeeze. They didn't need to spend the evening with a sense of gloom hanging over them. There would be time enough to face what was going on with the City, but until then she was just going to enjoy her time with her boyfriend.
