Jo couldn't help but laugh herself. She was worried about Wash still, but she thought that laughter and joking around was always a good sign. She took her hand back and leaned back in her chair, getting a little bit more comfortable as she watched the redhead laugh himself into a bit more pain.
"I can handle Maxine on one condition. That spare bedroom is yours once you get out of here. At least for a little while."
She thought that maybe Wash could use some looking after, at least for a little while. And maybe it'd be good to have Maxine stay in the same place for awhile as opposed to shuttling back and forth.
In the meantime, she did her best to stave off any panic about being solely responsible for the girl. Well. Maybe Ted would help some. She was really growing fond of Maxine but that didn't mean that Jo felt all too qualified to be responsible for her. Certainly not on her own. In many ways, Jo felt like she was still figuring out life for herself. Particularly life in the City.
