"All of that is very true," he said, smiling a bit when she listed the facts about the sandworms back home. It didn't help him to know how she knew -- but then she was telling him that, too.
Unfortunately, her explanation was even more cryptic than what he'd have expected from visions he could draw up in the first place. Lately, his visions had been changing. He didn't know if it was the multiple timelines that the City drew together, or some subtle difference in the spice he was taking, or perhaps his own reactions to being removed from the timeline he was expected to follow.
Either way, the end result was that his visions were more confused, lately, and far more difficult to divine. He passed a hand briefly across his eyes.
"I've never heard of a Red before," he started carefully. Would you mind telling me what it is?"
