Allison was seated at the bar, enjoying herself a cosmopolitan. Normally she had friends with her, the one thing that The City couldn't seem to give her was Chase or Foreman back. Not that they were best friends but they were all friends. She missed them. Even if they drove her up a wall from time to time she missed them. Even House would have been good company. No, just the drink. She even looked nice.
She was in a dress, dark, hugging her figure. Cameron wanted to look nice. At least then she might meet someone. Anyone was better than going home to that empty apartment or going to work and being surrounded by death. So many strange cases. Vampires, Aliens, what the hell was going on anyway?
At least she never ran out of money.
She should have brought her iPod. People were friendly enough but the last three offers for someone else to buy her a drink, well. She was used to Chase. he just bought it and handed it to her with a smile. It was nice to have a rich guy with a nice accent who was really really good at the things she liked. Even if he was pompous and a turncoat.
Still.
She missed Chase. And House. And Foreman. Allison finished her drink in one gulp and slid her glass forward.
