"Namor McKenzie," Abe supplied helpfully. It was not a comic that Hellboy particularly enjoyed, but it did give Abe some reflection as he read through the simplified stories at Hellboy's rejection of them. While there were a few things he could relate to the character on (though most biological nonsense) having the visage of being a human as apposed to whatever Abe was ended up being the biggest disparage. That and the smaller than needed swimsuit.
"Huh! Really!" he said with immediate intrigue. He had other questions but formalities were in his way. That, and he wasn't sure how much Dean would know.
"Is doesn't, does it?" Abe noted with a nod. "I suppose the quickest version of the tale is that I was discovered in a sealed laboratory beneath a hospital. I was in a stasis state in a cylindrical tank. The date on the tank was April 14, 1865. That is where my first name originates. It was a joke that stuck.
"My full name is Abraham Sapien from my classification as an icthyo sapien. The classification is wince worthy, I admit. But it is a name I have learned to accept."
A large eye then tilted toward Dean.
"How long have you been fighting the supernatural--" Abe said and quickly cut off. He was about to call the man by name and he wasn't sure if he'd introduced himself or if Abe had simply gleaned it from his proximity to the man and his abilities. It would do him no favors to test his trust with his gun toting companion.
"And, I'm sorry, I don't think you shared your name...?" he said, a little flustered.
