"Maybe that's why you're here," Inara suggested. She set down her teacup and reached out, placing her hand over Dean's. "To figure out what those reasons are. To learn how to change your life, once you return to it." Her fingers closed over his and she squeezed lightly.
He was right. Nothing was ever easy. Not even her job, her life, which she knew and loved, which came naturally to her, like breathing. There were times she'd end up on her knees with the intensity of emotion that she had to face - her own, not others'. But her task was to persevere.
